Re: Proof of residence in the UK

Hi all, There's a section of my application that gets me confused and I hope I can get some help here. So, I am applying for naturalisation as the spouse of a British citizen and the section requiring proof of residence in the past 3 years reads that one needs to show a passport that has been stamp...

Re: Proof of residence in the UK

Alright then. So, in my case, I have had three passports since I entered the UK, with the most recent one obtained in 2021 (and bears my last stamp). Should I include all three passports (biometric page and stamps) or just the one stamped in 2021? That's my dilemma.

Unable to book LITUK test

Hi all, I have been trying to book my life in the UK test at the Milton Keynes centre but I keep getting this message: ''We are still awaiting confirmation of your payment. You will receive an email when this has been processed''. However, I did not receive any email and had my booking cancelled aft...

Re: Sopra Steria Cancels Biometric Appoointment

My appointment which was supposed to hold tomorrow was cancelled this afternoon. I've rescheduled another one for next week but I have little faith it won't get cancelled again.

Biometrics appointment and the COVID-19 outbreak

I have my appointment at the Croydon centre scheduled for next Thursday. Due to recent developments, I heard they're now cancelling appointments. I haven't heard anything about my appointment yet and I'm wondering if anyone is in this boat.

Dear all, I am currently assembling my documents as my visa expiry date (9th April) draws nearer and I intend to apply within the 28-day window using a super-priority appointment. So far, I have made considerable progress and should now embark on applying soon. However, I am not too familiar with th...

Re: English language requirement

Has the Home Office already accepted the certificate as part of a successful previous application? Yes, the certificate was accepted as part of my first FLR(M) application in 2017. However, the certificate has now lapsed 2 years and the examination centre has moved to a different location. Can I st...

English language requirement

Dear all, I'm here again. I seem to be a lot restless as my visa expiration date draws closer. Today's question is regarding the English language requirement. I passed (with a distinction) the B1 graded examination in spoken English (GESE) test offered by Trinity College London in 2017. I sat for th...

Meeting the financial requirement/Cohabitation documents

Dear all, The initial 2.5 years of my FLR(M) visa will lapse on the 9th of April 2020 and I intend to apply for the renewal in the second week of March. FLR(M) renewal and Child benefit

Dear All, I'm back here again. Firstly, I'd like to thank everyone who gave advice towards my first FLR(M) application. Anyways, lots of things have happened since my first application and I'll be renewing my visa in approximately 5 months. So, my wife, who is British, recently had a baby and is pla...

FLR(M) extension

Dear forum users, I appreciate the efforts of everyone on this platform. Thanks for your inputs, I got my spouse visa in October. Although this sounds a bit too early, I have some concerns about the extension in ~2 years time. Due to work commitments, I have to stay in London during the week and go ...

Re: Student applying for a spouse visa

Sorry, my post seems a bit vague. Firstly, my spouse is the sponsor and her salary is the one in question. Secondly, she has payslips for 6 months all in the name of the current employer. However, looking at the bank statement for April 2017, the salary came in the name of XYZ (hypothetical) instead...

In this case, my spouse has worked with them for over 6 months. But the April salary was in the old name.

Company's name changed

Hello everyone, I'm back again. I will be turning in my application by the end of the month and everything seems alright. I have a slight concern, however, my company was acquired by another firm early last year and now bears a new name. However, on the bank statement, one of my salaries was paid in...

English Language test

Hello everyone, I am preparing for my spouse visa application next month and was advised to have an English test instead of the NARIC compatibility statement. Please which English test is most appropriate for FLR(M). Our solicitor advised I do GESE Grade 5 (B1). The home office specifies level A1 bu...

Student applying for a spouse visa

Hi, Is there anyone in this forum who has applied (or knows someone who has applied) for a spouse visa (FLR(M)) while studying and being sponsored by a government or international scholarship agency. I'm currently in that situation and don't know if I stand a chance to get a further leave to remain ...
