I have been living and wokring in the UK for the last two years on a Tier 5 visa. I recently traveled to Australlia to change this over to a spousal visa (joining my husband on his Sole Representative visa).
We sent the application off the Manila (the UK visa processing branch for all Aussie/NZ'ers). The visa was approved but they made a clerical error on the vignette (sticker) stating 'No work or recourse to public funds'
My current tier 5 visa expires on 25th May 2015. I understand the process to correct this mistake is send all relevant documents off to the Referred Casework Unit in Croydon but I can't send my passport in until 26th May as I have a work trip to Netherlands and obviously need my passport.
My work is understandably concerned as I don't have a legal document beyond the 25th saying I can work in the UK.
Has anyone experienced anything similar? I'm at a loss at what to do and can't afford to be stood down from my job until this is sorted out.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
