Mistake on UK Visit Visa application

Hello,

My friend just mentioned that his friend applied for visit visa to the UK and just realised that he made a mistake on the application form. He put his marital status as "Single" instead of "Married". Please help what he should do and what implications that might have.

He lives in USA.

Just email or phone the Post where he applied for his visa and explain to them what has happened. Personally I dont think it will matter a lot if he is coming for a one off short term visit .
