MN1 Questions

Post by billalahmed » Sat Feb 22, 2025 8:36 pm

Hi, I will be looking to apply for British citizenship under MN1 section3(2) for a relatives son who is born in Pakistan whose father is British by decent (spent more than 3yrs in UK before the sons birth) and grandfather has British Citizen by registration in 1972.

I have the following questions:

1. Will the applicant be required to give a TB test, he is currently living in Pakistan.

2. Is it possible to select where the home office send all correspondence? The applicants father is living in the UK and would be ideal if all correspondence are sent to the UK rather than to the applicants address as the applicant lives in a village where post could easily get lost.

3. Where can I find the list of places which take biometric in Pakistan for MN1 applications.

I don't think a TB test is a requirement for MN1. Try contacting the British High Commission in Islamabad for figuring out biometrics https://www.gov.uk/world/organisations/ ... -islamabad

If child resides abroad I think you need to apply from abroad but maybe other members have other suggestions.
