MN1 Section 3(2) documents

Post by Shane_B » Thu Aug 22, 2019 6:29 am

My partner and I are both British Citizens by descent (we live outside the UK) and are currently in the process of applying for our two children (under 4) to become eligible to apply for britsh passports.
We are applying under section 3(2) where my partner spent all her schooling years in the UK (i.e. lived for more than 3 years in the UK).
I was wondering how much evidence of this three years is required. An example of the documentation we have is a letter from her school proving she was enrolled for the whole duration of high school and transcipts of univesity results from the UK - would this be sufficient? Or do we need other things like bank statements, etc?
Also, do the documents we provide as part of the application need to be certified copies of the originals e.g. grandfathers passport.
Thanks in advance
