Hey guys if someone gets the extension after initial 2 years on another 4 years and they leave the country for a year what happens once they back IN uk and once the visa is about to expire after 4 years when they are about to apply for ILR?

Will they loose HSMP or the clock will be reseted to 0 and they will have to wai another 4 years for ILR? PLease assist
