Mother Visiting visa

Hello Friends,

I need help regarding family visitor visa, I would like to invite my mother to the UK as my wife is due for delivery. Unfortunately in my mother’s passport her surname got spelling mistake like xxxxxxTHI instead of xxxxxxTI.

Is there any remedy to apply visa for her other then changing surname in the passport?
