Mother's visitor visa and Accommodation (no. of Bedrooms)

Post by A4anything » Wed Jun 17, 2015 12:11 pm

Hi, someone suggested me this forum to ask the following question.

I and my wife are British nationals. I work full time in a private sector and have annual income of £31,500. My wife is expecting out first child and the due date is 25th July. I am intending to invite my mother to visit us from India, for 8 weeks, to see her first grandchild. My mother is going to be 65 in August this year and this is the month when I want her to visit us. We are renting a first floor 2 bedroom apartment. We have reasonable savings in form of ISAs.

Can someone please advise if I have to have 3 bedroom accommodation available before I could invite my mother? If that's the case and I am unable to find 3 bedroom accomodation does that mean her visa application will be refused on these grounds?

Many thanks and God bless

By refusal I meant refusal on the grounds of overcrowding.
