I am EEA citizen living in UK since 2007. I have a Masters degree here in UK. We (me, wife and kids) have planned to migrate to Canada in the coming months. I have applied for a Job and hope to get selected soon in the coming weeks. Recently, the rules have changed from 1st of May for skilled class migrants applying for PR. I am now confused. Should I apply for a Work Permit or a Permanent Residence under the new rule? Also, If I receive the work permit, can I immediately apply for a PR once I start working. One of my friend told me apply for a PR here in Uk and then go to Canada but I don't think that is a great idea as I won't be able live and work without restrictions. The real problem I have is that my wife's 5 year EEA family visa expires this year for which I can't wait after applying for the PR. I am really confused...
