Moving from Uk - What happens to the visa?

Post by niksbest » Thu Mar 26, 2015 1:48 pm

i have tier 2(ICT) Visa and moved to UK 2 years back. Now my employer wants to move me from UK to US. I am not a citizen of both countries.

When I start working in US, what will ahppen to my Tier 2 Visa of UK? Will it be revoked? Or I can come back here and work if I want to until my visa is valid?

What happens to the dependent visa (Tier 2 )in this case?

if you remain employed in the UK both your and your dependants' visas remain valid while you are sent on an assignment abroad. If your employment in the UK is terminated the visas will be curtailed.

I will be employed in US , so that means Not employed in UK.
My dependant wants to work in a company in Uk. Can't she continue working(from home) for this company?

If your employer notifies the UKBA that your job in the UK has been terminated, your visa will be curtailed to 60 days from the date UKBA writes to you. At this point, your dependents should leave UK as well.
However, in actuality, UKBA can take longer to write to you.
PS: If you intend on visiting your family from US to UK while working in US and vice versa, this might not be possible as it could be easily picked up.
