Multiple identity confirmation requests for first UK passport application

Hello all,

I've got requested 3 times so far to provide details of someone to confirm my identity. The person who's done it so far was one of my referees in my naturalisation application an is of a recognised profession (university lecturer).

I'm trying to call HM Passport Office but no joy so far, they just ask to provide a phone number they can call back.

Could someone advise what to do further? I'm currently without my current Polish passport and without my naturalisation certificate.

Hello,

I have managed to resolve the issue. It turned out the original countersignatory didn't meet the criteria (was never specified why). Confirmation of identity from a different person solved the issue.
