name change in naturalization form

Post by seko353400 » Mon Dec 29, 2025 2:26 pm

Hi,
Merry Xmas and happy new year to All

We have submitted already for naturalization form but later I noticed I chose "are you
now or have you ever been known by another name ?" as "No"...However, my maiden name changed after married, in previous application (visa extensions)I chose this as "Yes"...but this time it seems unintentionally said "No" called home office (03007906268) they said officer would pick this and contact to us ; also send them email (nationalityenquiries@homeoffice.gov.uk)about this mistake no response yet. I wanted to inform officer who viewing my application with this mistake in advance...

What else I can do ?
how this mistake would affect my application ?

Thanks,
Natie

What else I can do ? You have done the best you could. Nothing else necessary.
how this mistake would affect my application ? It will not affect your application. It's not a requirement under the nationality law and will not lead to a refusal. Applicants are not penalised for minor mistakes in the application.

Thanks,
Natie

When the caseworker gets to your application they will review correspondence. They don't always reply to emails, actually very rarely, unless it is to ask a question. There are more email addresses you can contact but rest assured that you won't be refused just for this.
