Name change with deed poll then UK passport

I have changed my name with a Deed Poll here in the UK a few years ago, but as the authorities back home have been anything but helpful, I haven't changed my name on my Romanian passport yet. I am in the process of obtaining my British citizenship, but I don't want my UK passport to be in my maiden name. (I should mention I didn't change my name when I got married, but later decided to change it to match my husbands) I have been reading that HMPO would issues a UK passport based on the name on my Romaniana passport. But a solid reason for me to change my name in Romania would be to have a UK passport with my current name. The question is, do I go and get the UK passport in my maiden name, and then do another deed poll to change my UK passport and subsequently my romanian passport

You need to change your name on the Romanian passport first.
