Is NARIC data & UKBA PBS calc list of univ/colleges same

Can someone here throw some light on whether the NARIC database of universities and colleges the same listed by the UKBA PBS calculator the same.

many ppl seem to be having a problem with their degrees esp BA and BCOM
ppl from Delhi and mumbai.

Also as explained by sushdmehta (moderator & expert) on several threads that Letter of Degree taught in English does not satisfy the English language condition.

Tier 1 (General) policy guidance wrote:198. Where the applicant is unable to find details of their qualification on the points based calculator, UK NARIC will not be able to verify whether a qualification satisfies the English Language requirement. In these circumstances, applicants should either present an alternative qualification from the points based calculator if they possess one, or select an alternative means of satisfying the English Language requirement.
