NARIC - mode of reciept of communication

Post by hsmp_aspi » Mon Jan 04, 2010 5:19 pm

Hi all

I am planning to apply to NARIC for assessment of my Degree. I want to know that after making an online application, what is the mode of reciept of the communication from NARIC in case o an online application? Do i recieve a printed letter from NARIC or do i recieve some sort of online communication? In case of a printed letter reciept, do i get it by way of a courier or ordinary post? I am asking this specifically because I may not know if i recieve the courier as i might be out of station for some days.

Please forgive my ignorance, i just want to be doubly sure on this. :-)

Thanks in advance.

Don't know how it works now but when I applied for NARIC the process was as below:

1. You submit request to NARIC for your Degree comparison and pay the fees.
2. As soon as your card is charged and request is accepted, NARIC send you online application reference no. by email.[This happens almost immediately].
3. Once you have reference no. from NARIC, you can now fax your Degree + Transcript to NARIC using reference no.. Make sure you quote your reference no. on each fax page. I took colour xerox of my Degree and transacripts before sending fax to make sure I can write my reference no. of top of it and then did the fax from colour xerox.
4. Once you sen fax NARIC will update your status online. This takes 1-2 days.
5. As soon as NARIC complete its comparison it will send you letter of comparability by post.

Hope this will help.

If you are applying from outside the UK, the letter will be mailed to you by ordinary post (airmail) - not by courier and not by registered post!!
