The likelihood is that most Australian and New Zealand degrees are recognised by NARIC as UK equivalent. Mine was (B. Science in Computing Science at the Univeristy of Tecnology, Sydney).

Unfortunately there is no free way to determine this prior to submitting your application. The Home Office pays NARIC for access to their database of degree equivalence (and the service to do the necessary research when a new degree / institution is encountered) and you don't get a look in because you're not paying!

If you want to be 100% certain you'll need to pay NARIC (£40 from memory, could be more, could be less) to issue you a certificate of equivalence and include that in your application. From memory, they took a week or two longer than their stated timeframe to do mine.
