Nationality and the time for the application for asylum

I just got the Registration of British nationality.Now I am sure that the time for asylum is counted towards British Nationality.My conditions are:
1)I applied for asylum on Sep 2001 and refused Dec 2001. 2)I sent Questionaire Form under one-off exercise for ILR on Oct 2004 3}I got ILR on Sep 2005 through one-off exercise(the amnesty for asylum seeker's family with children born before the 2nd of Oct 2003. some solictors said I can't apply for British Nationality before Sep 2009,but i sent my application form on Jan 2007 and I got it. I don't think the solictors are always right and everybody should try themselves

The same case as mine .I got British Nationality with continous 6 years residence including 4 years and 1/2 as asylum-seeker.

wenkaishen and jackylee, this is a complicated area and it is not possible to assume that just because each of you were treated as "legal" for at least a 5 year period, that every asylum seeker would be so treated.

So for the benefit of others, can you both post the following information. At what stage did you first claim asylum? At the UK port of entry? If not, how long after arrival, and what were you doing between arrival and applying for asylum?

Also wenkaishen you posted "I just got the Registration of British nationality." Do you mean Registration, or do you actually mean Naturalisation?

I meant I got British Nationality by Naturalisation.The following is my asylum history:1)I arrived at heathrow airport illegal on 13 Sep 2001(using forged passport and passed through immigration controll ).2)I applied for asylum in the Home Office in east croydon on 19 Sep 2001 and My case was been refused on 8 Dec 2001. 3) I appealed for that refusing for asylum and on 16 Sep 2004 there was the first court hearing .4)I sent Questionaire Form for amnesty on 4 Oct 2004
