Naturalisation App - English Skills - Points based cal

Hi,

I have a query around meeting the english skills criteria using the points based calculator.

My wife did her post grad diploma (bachelor equivalent) from Cardiff university. When I use the points based calculator, She get the points for english skills but don't get any points under the qualification criteria.

I was advised by NCS Lambeth that the points needs to be allocated for both qualification and English Skills in the points calculator for it to be recognised by case worker. Is that correct?

Bachelors qualification will never be recognised under qualification criteria as the points are only allocated for Masters/PhD but english skills take into account bachelor qualification.

Also, spoke to someone in Home office and they could not provide any clarity on this and said they are are discouraging everyone to not use points based calculator.

Confused now!!!
