Naturalisation application with past arrests

Post by sunny109 » Wed Jun 18, 2025 9:35 pm

Hi All,

I have recently applied for naturalisation. I had ILR since 2020. I was arrested a couple of times in the past based on allegations made by my wife. I have separated in 2024 and now have a child arrangements order. I have mentioned this in the application but have not given the exact details of the arrests. Since I have been to court and the court and child services have given me access to our daughter I thought that would mean that I was trusted even though my wife made allegations against me. The police have NFA'd the allegations on all occasions. I am now thinking if I should have provided more information in a covering letter.

That would probably have been a good choice. Did you attend biometrics already?

Write a letter explaining the situation. There was no investigation or follow up but best to disclose and add any relevant information on your good character and good standing in your community.
