Naturalisation approval taking a bit longer than expected

Post by Yanis » Sun Jan 27, 2019 4:11 pm

Dear members

i have applied on the 19 th of November 2018 through NCS ,submitted my biometrics on the 7 th of December, but my friend applied after me and he got his approval letter 10 days ago , i am starting to get anxious about two things ..1 the fact that i have submitted my application being without a job due to a back injury which kept from work. and i did sent all my hospital letters and appointment with my AN form.
2 : i had a CCJ which i payed it back in March but the stupid County house of the debt collectors forgot to update my file , but after finding out about it i wrote to UKVA in December informing them about this mistake with the proof of my payment but they never wrote an email about the letter that i have sent them . Can anyone please let me know if being over 9 weeks is normal specially after looking at November thread . I am now getting bit worried since 9 weeks have gone.

It is normal. HO does state it can take up to 6 months and sometimes it takes longer.

Each person applying is assessed based on their own circumstances and merits. Just because someone who applied at the same time as you got approval, doesn't necessarily mean your application has a problem.

Thanks a lot CR001 for your swift reply, i do suffer from anxiety and panic attacks and that was due to losing my job and finding myself in difficult circumstances financially , you reckon its too early to contact them ??

You won't get an update now if you query as HO clearly states that updates are given once 6 months has passed.

Same here. Applied on 22 Nov, still nothing, though people applied in Dec started to get decisions.
Bureaucracy in action.

And that's exactly my thoughts now, my mate applied a week after me and he got his approval 10 days ago. i think we should stop looking at the timelines.
