Naturalisation Document - Continuous Residency evidence

Post by gnm » Tue Feb 10, 2026 11:51 pm

Hi,

I am in the process of applying for naturalisation (currently an ILR holder).

Since 2025, the passports are not being stamped when coming to the UK at immigration, as the system has gone digital. So, to prove 5 years continuous residency, is passport still enough as an evidence, or do i need to provide other evidences (such as Payslips, P60, employment references).

Thanks,
GNM

You declare all absences (stamped or not) on the form.
As ILR holder you submit only your passport covering the residency period.
Note that UKVI have your travel data from scanning your passports, so there's nothing additional to prove/provide.
UKVI know passports are no longer stamped, it's their process.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.

Thanks for the prompt response @alterhase58

I have already declared the absences in the application form, I will go ahead with the passport as evidence.

Regards,
GNM
