please anyone help me

i applied in dec 2008 and still waiting, applied on 5 years working (work permits). now lost my job in april and the wife is pregnant
she is working, but leaving job in august.
i'm looking for work everywhere (construction)
money is running low, had some savings but now money left for 2 months rent only.
i called and they said my file with minister for desicion from end of march!!
i can't take anymore and now the baby is coming
please anyone help me i want to apply for unemployment benefit am scared, will they refuse me if i apply now??

i am in Ireland for 9 years. i always worked and never in my life claimed welfare.

I think you should get the financial support you need to sustain your family. Once your file has gone to the minister, then a decision is already made on your application. Applying for SW support at this stage is unlikely to affect the outcome of your application.

I applied and claimed unemployment benefits for 10 months and I got my approval
