Naturalisation Referees

Post by trueblue19 » Fri May 10, 2019 9:59 pm

Hi

I will be eligible to apply for naturalisation in a couple of months and I'm therefore trying to get referee information in place. As I understand, the 2 referees should be:

1. A person of professional standing of any nationality (Known to the applicant for more than 3 years) AND the other referee must be
2. A british citizen of over 25 years of age (Known to the applicant for more than 3 years)

For professional standing, I'm planning to use the reference of a Director of a relatively large Limited Company in India, and also happens to be my dotted line manager. Is this acceptable?

Can someone please confirm if this is ok?

For the other referee, I already have a colleague who's a british citizen and is willing to act as a referee.

Thanks

Dear Board Members

I have some more questions about the referee(s).

1. Per my previous post, I was going to ask one of the directors in the company to sign on the reference form. However, this person has moved on from his role. Is it now ok for me to use Global head of HR for this reference? He's NOT one of the directors but obviously is at a very senior position and is based in India. Is this ok?

2. Also, I have noticed in the online AN form, one needs to provide referee's d/o/b, address and other specifics, whereas the actual reference form doesnt require these details. Should the referee provide these details on the form (hand-written) whilst signing? Also, should the referee provide a copy of an Identification document (Such as a drivers license OR Passport). Is this needed?

Can someone please advise.

Thanks

Curious! Can someone living abroad even if doing business with a British company sign the referee form?? This is what it seems regarding the professional referee in this case. I would think not but the moderators would know.

Can someone please advise urgently? I'm in the process of getting the referee forms signed tomorrow, and need to know urgently.

Kindly help.
