Naturalisation

Hi,

Just a quick one. I entered UK on a spouse visa on 17/11/2008 and was granted the ILR on 20/10/2010. My question is can I apply for the British Citizenship through Naturalisation on 21/10/2011 or do I wait till 18/11/2011 when three years are up?

you have to complete 3 year thats all. if you think you were here at all before 17/11/2008 then you can work out and you also u have to show that you were physicaly here in the uk on the day of application. otherwise you can ony apply on 17/11/2011 because you was clearly in the UK on 18/11/2011.

Start of the residential qualifying period
The residential qualifying period will be worked out from the day we receive your application. Most unsuccessful applications fail because the applicant was not present in the United Kingdom at the beginning of the residential qualifying period. You must make sure you meet this requirement before you make your application. For example, if we received your application on 25 November 2005, you would have to show that you were in the United Kingdom on 26 November 2002.

yes it is 3 years
