naturalisation waiting time

Hi
has anybody have information about current waiting times for naturalisation applications?

i made a application nearly 7 months ago and still waiting for a response?
is this normal or something wrong? i ve no convictions or anything wrong with my records. i ve received the returned documents 3,5 months ago.

7 months is too long considering published processing times - something is not right. You should ask IND for an update.

i actually asked the IND twice about this and they told me searches going on with external departments, and they are waiting for the results...

Do you have any idea what kind of dapartments they can be? or what searches are they making that take this long?

is there anything else i can do about this?

Waiting times can vary wildly depending on whether you have used the naturalisation checking service or not. I think the record as recorded on this board is a wait of a few days. But it seems that a wait of a few weeks seems to be standard on NCS.
