need u r advice to bring my wife N son here!!!

Post by crb » Thu May 03, 2012 12:26 am

Heloo, and thanks for all those who offer advce....
I recently got ilr on long residency(10yrs).........
i have a wife who is currently NOT in UK & dont have valid visa
(wife was here on dependant PSW visa for abt 1yr)
SON born in uk( before i got ILR) currently outside UK....

as far as i can understand my options are....

1) both ILR dependant.....=(£8XX)*02) EXPENSIVE
2) wife ILR Dep + SON on Family/visitor VISA ( £8XX+ 1xx) CHEAPER

Please advise!!
thank you

3rd option.

Option 2 is also possible if they grant a visitor/family visa for son in such circumstances. Subsequently register him.

Thank you Vinny ,
BUT the only problem with this 3rd option besides MONEY is the time it takes (ilr dep 2-03 mths) (visitor visa upto 3mths) (citZ reg ATLEAST 3mths + PP Dont know how long )
guessssing another 3mths totalling 6,ths
the way i am thinking is wife dep takes (2-3)mths then SONS visitor visa takes upto 1mth = total money (8xx+1XX) & time (upto 4MTHS)....if all goes well

as far as i understand ...my son is the least of my problem as far as i can get him here no matter on whatever visa or not.......

...now i am on ilr and want to bring my wife here....seeking full time job but unsuccessfull so far.....i have about 2000 savings..........
...so was wondering how they will look at my wife's settelment application....will my current part time job be looked upon as sufficient cause to reject her application.....!!!
i haven't come accross anything written like this in the guidance...but u know how it is....just worried......

you won't meet the maintenance requirements on an income of £650 per month.

You need to show that after rent and council tax have been deducted from your pay, you have at least the amount of a family of your size on income support, which is currently:

£111.45 per week for a couple
£64.99 per week for each dependent child

therefore a total of £176.44 per week/£765 per calendar month after rent/council tax is deducted.

See here for the current rates

Your income clearly falls way short of this.
