Need Advice: Many Pay Slips Missing Back from HO

Post by EdgeHillMole » Mon May 23, 2005 3:38 am

Hi everyone. Does anyone have any good advice for the following situation? Thanks:

After waiting eight months, I decided to speed up the process by withdrawing my application and reapplying. I contacted my agent and requested that they withdraw and request the original documents back from the HO.

My agent has contacted me and advised that many, many original payslips are missing from the stack of documents they received. Those were not the only things missing from the stack, but the rest of the missing items are things that I am able to easily replace during the reapply process.

What do I do now about the missing original pay slips? How do I replace them? I have copies, but I don't think the HO will accept these as evidence.

Should I go back to the bank that issued the pay slips and ask them to send me some kind of special copies (Wondering if banks certify copies)? I don't think I can get new 'originals' from them.

I will call the bank and my agent when they open to see if I have any options -- Just wondered if anyone had this happen to them and have a solution they'd like to share. I'm afraid this bit of bad news is stopping me in my ability to reapply.....

Just a question. seeing that you will be reapplying and you have waited 8+ months already, will you need those payslips as the 12 month period immediately prior to you sending the new application will be the 8 months that you were waiting plus 4months from the time when you submitted the original application, so at most you only need 4 payslips (June to September 2004). so just check if you have those ones and if you do then you wont have anything to worry about.
Another thing, you are talking about going to the bank to get certified copies, were you working in a bank or you are talking about bank statements. If its payslips i am sure your employer can give you a some form of copies of them and these should suffice

f2k,

Thanks for all your help.

I went to my employer to get copies, and my agent is turning these in. Some of the original pay slips that were lost were indeed the ones I needed to resubmit, as I sent them in after my original application (Through the beginning of 2005).

In retrospect, it is a good thing I reapplied. If I had not, the Home Office might have rejected me for the 'missing' pay slip documents.

My agent is going to make sure it states in my reapply that the original pay slips were lost at the Home Office and not by me, the applicant.

I hope the reapply is faster, as I have already been waiting now eight months....
