Need advice on parent aged 65 to join me in uk

Hi,

I will qualify for ILR in july 07 on 10 yrs long residence basis, but i would like my father who is a widower and aged 65 to come and live with me before that. He is living alone and is not financially dependant on me - he has a business and property but is almost retired, I have cousins but they are not looking after him and he is not dependant on them. He has some health problems and I wish to look after him here.

Is there a possibility that I can apply for a dependent visa for him. Any help on this will be much appriciated.
