How long as he been 'living' in India on this ILR? He may have already lost this. :|

Brief visits back to the UK won't retain his ILR. He needs to have continuing residence here and his visits are likely to flag up on entry with the Immigration Officer and he may then have his visa revoked. He can't sponsor his wife's visitor visa as he no longer lives here. Asking again, how long has he been living in India. :?:

She can apply for a Standard visitor visa in her own right, but she will have to show strong ties to her home country, finances etc. You don't want to say how long the husband has been living outside of the UK, or you don't know? If it's more than two years he may not be permitted to enter on his ILR visa.

Hi,

Could someone help out with my query related to Sponsor's Housing Contract please?

My sister is planning to visit me from 15th June to 5th July and she plans to take a visa appointment on 17th May. During the period of her visit she will stay with me. But my current housing contract is due to expire on 30th June. From last year's experience, the owner will inform me only by end of this month (April) through email if he wants to continue renting the house to me (which I think he will ) and will issue the formal contract by early June.

So for the purpose of my sister's visa application on 17th May, is it sufficient to provide current housing contract till June 30th 2016 + the council tax bill for 2016 - 2017 to show that she will stay with me during the visit? By her appointment date, I am hoping to be able to provide email confirmation about the contract renewal but the actual contract will not be drawn up by then.

Could anyone advise if this will cause an issue? Are there any other documents I can show instead of the housing contract? Any help will be much appreciated!

I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,
