Need to apply for PSW, Student visa expiring..............

Hey guys,

A friend of mine is at present on a student visa, which is due to expire in July. He did not have 800 pounds in his account since 3 months but does have enough funds at present.

He would hence now like to know what to do in this situation. Is there any possible way of applying for PSW? Can he apply for another type of visa?

Under such circumstances the only possible way to apply under tier1 (PSW) is to go back home and apply from there. The procedure would be more or less same but the only drawback here is that he has to go back HOME and wait for a long time to apply. Home Office will not accept application if your freind does not main 800 pounds for 3 months. Also, if he has already been passed then he can not apply/renew his student visa. So, the only option left is to go back home and apply from there. I hope you got my point..Cheers
One best thing that he can do for the time being is that, if he already has a bank account in his home country then he can put 2800GBP now so that later he do not have to wait for a long time. This can save his time.

I am in the same situation, I had to leave the country last month and applying after satisfying the maintenance fund requirement later from home. It is the best option to avoid rejection and messing up your visa status.

maintain the money in your home country account and apply from there
