Need to get biometrics done again when switching visa

I entered the UK on a Tier 5 (YMS) visa which expires in March and am returning to Australia shortly to apply for entry clearance under Tier 2 (G) as my employer has now issued a CoS for me.

I had my biometrics taken for the YMS visa. Will I need to attend an biometrics appointment and have them taken again?

i have the same concern, switching from work permit to tier 2(g), have done biometric, should i be asked to do it again? appreciate response, thank you

Yes you have to give biometrics each time you make an application in a category where biometrics are required.
