Need Greencard help!!!

I currently live in the UK however broadening my horizons and emigrating to the US has been something that's been on my mind for quite some time.

I have a lot of friends in the US and I just prefer the lifestyle of the US to that of America. I understand that America is also going through financial difficulties, but the UK is set to go into conditions that make it difficult to live. I thought it would seem like a fairly straight forward process, but boy was I wrong!

I want to be able to permanently live and work in America, so I would need to get a green card. I've been looking at the different status's that make you eligible for a green card. Marriage does not apply to me, nor do I have any immediate family in America.

Now this is where I expect people are going to tell me how difficult it is, but there's got to be a way! Preferably I want to be in America at the very least 1-2 years time. In order to move over there for work, I read that I would A) Have to have a bachelors degree, B) I would have to extraordinary skills like a great scientist for example, C) Get a transfer from a company I already work with and D) Get greencard sponsorship from an employer.

The only one I can really do is D. I don't have a bachelors degree. I have a BTEC National Diploma but it is only the equivalent of 3 A levels. I do already have a job but they don't have any stores in the US. So basically, what I need help with is understanding how I can get a greencard with the available option to me (Get a greencard sponsorship).

I have a friend who is willing to let me live with them in North Carolina until I'm settled with a job and have enough money to find my own place. I've looked up companies that frequently do greencard sponsorships, however many of them don't have any job vacancies currently.

Would my best option be to e-mail companies that do greencard sponsorships and ask them if they would be willing to sponsor me for a greencard if I am eligible for a job with them?

Someone please just explain to me the full procedure, and what is my best move in order to get a greencard from employer sponsorship? (Note: The kind of job I'm looking for is either a sales consultant either in retail or in an office).
