Hello Guys,
I wanted to know about the process of sponsoring my mum in law who is in india, Me and my wife are here in UK since August and my daughter is back in india with my mum in law...my daughter has a tier 1 dependent visa, due to new jobs we are unable to go to INdia to get our daughter so alternatively want to get my mum in law here with my daughter....just wanted to know what is the process and first of all can i sponsor her???
my current status:
1) both my wife and me are working in permanent jobs
2) we don't own a house and living in a two bed room apartment
3)how much bank balance do i need to show in my account? and also can i use the funds in my account to support her?
4) can you let me know the paper work i will need like sponsorship letter(where i can find a sample)
i know its a lot of questions...but i have no clue how to go about this..really thanks to advice:)
regards

Do you mean you want your mother to come here on a visit to drop off your daughter or do you want to sponsor your mother as a dependent on your tier 1 visa? You can't do the latter.

Yes it is possible. There is no set amount you need to have in your account but you need to show that you/she will have enough money to fund her stay and that she intends to return. If she has been here a s a visitor in the past this will help. Have a look on the UK visas website for further information on lie requirements and documents needed.
