Need help before application

Post by Me and Tee » Fri Mar 04, 2011 4:00 pm

Hi to all, i am new here. i am about to apply from St vincent for a fiance visa. i have been with my partner since August of 2008. to be exact its been 2yrs and 7mnths strong in our relationship and we have spent 1yr and 8mths of that time together in the uk, with each other in her council flat, which of course she rents. i have jus returned on tuesday from spending six months with her in the uk, unfortunately i spent 6 extra days in the uk as i was sick the morning of travel and missed my flight and i forgot my passport on the other occasion. i have receipts to prove i arrive at the airport on both occasions and paid for the 2 extra seats i had reserved for me initially. also i did ring the home office to notify them i did not go rogue and it was unfortunate that i missed my flight due to a morning sickness which induced vomiting. she is 25 yrs of age while i am 23. she has one son of 6 yrs and i am fatherless. now only her son resides with her and in a two bedroom flat. she works 16 hours per week minimum which is four hours per day. this is so because of her son and she either finds it difficult to find a child-minder or she isn't pleased with the ones she find. also her son attends a school which doesnt have a breakfast club so she cant have him stay at school. she makes between 448-560 a month depending on overtime etc. we have phone records detailin loads of calls made to each other during our time away from each other and photographs of our time together. also we have references from people who can confirm our relationship together. i am unemployed but my parents both civil servants are the ones who are supporting me financially. my fiancee is divorced as she was married when she was tricked into getting married when she was about 16 years of age but she grew the courage to decline applying for this guy, who happens to be her child's father. we jus need some guidance with regards to the strenght of our application and any areas we need to work on. oh also she has between 1500-2000 pounds saved to support us for the time before our marriage. she is a hair dresser and is also a certified make-up artist whereas before she used to be a dental nurse but decided to switch carers. i have qualification ranging from O'levels in the caribbean, A'levels from community college, technical college certificates, Cisco certificates (Networking) and work experience as a PC technician at the only dell authorized service centre in my country and National Bereau of Standards both in my country. thats pretty much all to say. we are waiting for any sort of advice and guidance leading up to the very important time. Also i plan to apply in barbadoes at the end of this month so it would be greatly appreciated if we could get replies as soon as possible.

It would be helpful if you can edit your post so it can be understood.

Seperate it into simple paragraphs and leave a gap between each paragraph.

Oh sorry if u dont understand but thank you for replying at the same time. i jus wanted to put as much info as possible, basically all i wanted is a bit of advice and some professional opinion and it seems that people on here know a lot about the UKBA. I'll try again

I am a 23 yr old man from St vincent who is with a 25 yr old Vincentian woman who has IDL in the UK. We have been together since August of 2008. Of that time i spent 1 yr 8 months together in the UK. she has a son of 6 yrs.

i have jus returned on tuesday after spending six months with her in the uk, unfortunately i spent 6 extra days in the uk as i was sick the morning of travel and missed my flight and i forgot my passport on the other occasion. i still have both receipts to prove i arrived at the airport on both occasions and paid for the 2 extra seats Virgin had reserved for me initially. i did ring the home office to notify them i did not go rogue and it was unfortunate that i missed my flight due to a morning sickness which induced vomiting. i did all this to ensure the thuought of overstayin doesnt come up as i am going to send the reciepts in with my application and stress it in a letter to the ECO.

she earns between 448-560 a month depending on overtime etc but has about £1500 - 2000 saved for us. I must state though it was a saving system where she paid out money each month amongst people and the entire pool goes to one person each month. she has now collected her so its a large one time deposit into her account. this is to support us before we get married.

we have phone records, photographs, and references from people who can confirm our relationship together. i am unemployed but my parents both civil servants are the ones who are supporting me financially and i can also prove that with letters and statements.

we are both aptly design to work as she is a hair dresser and a certified make-up artist whereas before she used to be a dental nurse but decided to switch careers so that avenue is still open for her. i am a Ceisco Certified Network Associate and also have qualifications such as O'levels, A'levels, technical college certificates, and work experience as a PC technician at a only dell authorized service centre, the National Bureau of Standards, and as a junior joiner in a furniture shop.

i plan to travel to barbados at the end of this month to lodge my application so we are just lookin for any sort of advice and guidance leading up to the very important time. thank you.

Firstly, can you show in your application that you have a minimum of £102.75+ £65 weekly to support the three of you. (i.e you, your wife and her child) after rent, council tax and any loan/credit repayments. On the monthly income you have given, this doesn't appear likely.

In addition- are you married? If not how long have you been with your partner and for how long have you lived together?

made a mistake, she makes 560 £140 a week. plus she receives working tax credit and child tax credit along with about £1500 - £2000 saved. finances are our only weak spot. but we have enough to make it work until we get married when i would easily get a job.
