Need Help - Passport Renewal

Hi All,

I have a UK Unmarried Partners Visa and my passport is due to expire in May 16. I booked an appointment to get my application in, but it was rejected instantly. They said I have to have my partners name printed on my CNIC before i can apply for a passport renewal. Now I don't know what to do. They said I have to provide a registered document proving that he is my partner. But Why would I need that? Now the only registered document which proves a relationship is a marriage registration. I really need help and advice to know what can be done. Because its quite weird that my country is forcing me to get married. It seems very unfair. Why should i get married to get a passport of a country which I am born in? Please help. What can i do to avoid this?
