I was married to US citizen in 2000 and got my interview but hair was cover my ears so the interview told me to send a new photo to the office but he never stamp my passport so we left at that. A few month later I go back to Canada to visit my family and found out my husband than was cheating on me while I was away so we argue and he decided he wan a divorce. So we get divorce and I didn't enter the US until now. My problem is that when I go through border the immigration keep asking for me green card and I told them the story but every time they ask the same question. Now that I am in the US working for a company they sponsor me but they just went bankruptcy and I don't know where to turn to get work. I have a valid SSN but on the SSN card it say valid for work with INS authorization. I want to know about my status. I over head one of the immigration at the border officer checking up on my status and tell other officer that I am still in pending what is that mean? Where I can get information and can I still get green card.
