need help

hi there my wife was granted 3 years discretionary leave until january 2013, we got maried after receiving the COA, can she now switch her status from discretionary leave to spouse. If yes can she apply whilst in the country by filling FLR(M) form or does she need to leave the country and apply in her home country for a spouse visa?

Please note that i got indefinit leave to remain and also a british citizen after naturalisation.
