NEED HELP: My Wifes EEA Visa Expires Next Month What should?

Hi im clueless at the moment about what to do, my wifes visa will expire next month, and her Visa was only for 6 months, and i was wondering how to extend it, i went to a solicitor he did not even give enough Information about what to do... please help me and let me know where to start!!

It is EEA Family Permit!!

That's actually not a visa but some special entry clearance for EEA family members.

You can apply for a residence card on form EEA2. For practical purposes it is advisable to do so. No need to use excessive exclamantion marks. As long as the EEA national is exercising treaty rights the stay is lawful.

In your case that would be a residence certificate but it is just as optional. Almost useless in my opinion and you would have to send off your passport or ID card too (though you can request it back, see the link). But I guess it doesn't hurt to have it either. Some embassies claim that the residence certificate would be needed when you want to make use of visa free travel with the residence card.

Biime, in what way are you exercising EU Treaty Rights in the UK? Employed? Self-employed? A Student? Or self-sufficient?

John.. im working in the UK at the moment, but applied EEA Fam,ily permit for my wife 6 months ago, and she was granted, but it expires next month, and my question was what should the next step be... if she would need residence certificate do i still have to apply for the residence permit card?
