Need help with parttime income

Hi,

I am applying for tier1 General visa in mid of oct'10. But, I have a concern. Can you please advice me on my below query.

As per PBS, I should get 25 points for earning. However, I was getting only 20 points. Apart from job i was taking online classes (genuine for past 1 1/2 yrs). So, as per some expert's advice instead of taking cash, I started taking cheques for past 2 months and depositing in my bank. with one more cheque I will meet the required points. Now, my question is do I need to file income tax for this part time earning or it is not required. what all documents I need to submit for part time income

Income tax is not required. You need to provide letter from accountant certifying your gross and net income.
Copy of all invoices raised.
Letter from client stating that they have made you payments with cheque numbers.

Thanks Gaurav. I was thinking the same. But, my friend said we need to file income tax. anyways, thanks for clearing my doubt.
