Need help with Wife and baby visa!!!!!!!!

Hi, my name is Muhammad and I am a U.K citizen. I got married from Pakistan over a year ago. My wife is expecting in November this year. I was advised by a friend in August not to send my paper work to my wife until my child is born. The reason for this he told me was that if I apply and my wife gets her visa in November then by the time I apply for my Childs, it can take 6 months for a British passport to arrive from Hong Kong, by this time her visa will expire as she won’t travel to U.K without her baby.

My paperwork is complete but I don’t know what to do.
Shall I apply for my wife now, and then apply for certificate of entitlement on a Pakistani passport once the baby is born? (Please also advise on time frame).

Shall I wait for the arrival of the baby then make 2 separate applications?(a lot of money for 2 applications)

When I make the child’s application, shall I make it for a certificate of entitlement (right of abode or British passport from Hong Kong? (I heard it takes 6 months I can’t wait that long) what is the process?

What is the cost effective, best and fastest way to do this?

Any other helpful advice will be greatly appreciated.

Please also advise on application forms as I am new to this and I am finding it hard to understand the whole process.

I thank you for taking the time out to read this in advance.

If I missed anyhing please feel free to ask any questions.

Regards,

Muhammad.
