Do we need schengen to travel to Switzerland?

Post by sunjay » Mon Jul 25, 2011 2:22 pm

Does a Tier 1 General visa holder and his dependent need schengen visa to travel to Switzerland and France?

I tried to search in this forum to find specific info which matches our situation but couldnt find any, apologise if I've missed it.

Thanks...

A Tier 1 General visa does not ever exempt you from having to get a Schengen visa. If you normally require a Schengen visa to travel to Europe, then you still need to get one as a Tier 1 General visaholder.

Yes you need since 12/12/2008. Prior to this date, a WP holder could travel to Swiss without any other visa.
