Need Urgent Advise General Tier 1 and Visitor Visa

Hello Experts,

I am on General Tier 1 Visa and My wife and My daughter is on dependent visa, I am due to apply for extension in March 2013. In July 2012 I sponsored my parents for visitor visa and they are returning to India in Dec 2012.
I have registered myself as self employed in Nov 2012, I started my self employment in April 2012 and I didn't mentioned that during sponsoring my parents.

So would there be any problem If now I declare as self employed to HMRC and Home office during my application for extension ??
