I've been applying for legal status in the UK for nearly 4 years now, originally as a dependent child. This had been rejected but after an appeal in '08 my father was given legal status but not myself due to my being over the age of 18 (I'm currently 19 so when the original application was sent I was just 15).
As a result, I've now had to re-apply seperately which meant being forced to take a "gap year".
I've done everything that has been asked of me, including taking the Life in the UK test but whilst filling in an "application form SET(O)" in the progress I've had to include proof of my stay in the UK (my whole life) which would mean getting confirmation from all schools that I've attended.
My nursery/primary school however refuse to write a letter to me confirming this without being given an official letter from my solicitor.
Could someone please help me find a solicitor who will write a letter for free on my behalf. The solicitor I'm working with wants to charge me £50 which I believe is a crazy amount, considering especially what has already been invested. Please help.
