Hello,
We are renewing our spousal visa.
In the finance section, the online application form asks if we are Renting, Owning or Other for housing.
We stay in a rented home, but it is the employer who is the named tenant. Our names are listed on the tenancy agreement as 'Permitted Occupier'.
The rental is arranged through an agent (company).
Seeing I am not personally owning the rental relationship, I chose the "other" option on the form. But then I am asked to provide all 3 of:
• Proof of property ownership from the owner of the property you live in, such as a mortgage statement
• Copy of an ID document of the owner of the property you live in, such as a passport
• Letter signed by the owner of the property you live in stating that you have permission to live there
That is proving difficult as the landlord is living overseas, and the agent is managing the relationship.
Question:
Should I rather choose the option "renting"?
Or should I choose "other" and have the agent write a letter? And not supply what they are asking for?
I am just concerned that if I choose 'other' I am agreeing to send the above 3 evidences which I don't have. I'm not sure they'll accept anything else.
If I choose the "renting" option, then I need to tell them how much I'm paying. But if I say "0" the application for won't let me proceed.
I'm stuck.
