new born baby

i am on bridging visa in australia. my baby born here. i want to know his status here. whether he is citizen here or not and if not than how he will be citizen here wat r rules for this

One parent must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, or eligible NZ citizen, in order for the child to be an Australian citizen by birth.

If not, then child gets same visa as parents. If child stays in Australia until age 10, child becomes Australian on that date.
