new confusion over english requiremnet

hi guys
just got a refusal letter for my initial hsmp appln.
the reason cited is quite annoying and strange.
they have awarded me 30 points for my pakistani MBBS degree, I even have General medical council , UK registration and have been working in UK for last 18 months.
They have written in letter that my degree has been found to be below UK bachelor standard and hence not considered for english requirement even though i had submitted a letter from my uni in pak stating the course was taught in english.
Now i have gone ahead and got a NARIC letter independently certifying that my bachelors degree in medicine is equiavalent to a UK bachelors degree[ ordinary ].
what do i do now??
I have heard that NARIC has assembled a database for homeoffice of universities whose courses although taught in english whether they meet IELTS level 6 or not?
This has been confirmed by NARIC over phone to myself but they can't allow individuals to access this info, nor can they give anything in writing concerning this as it was a one-off project for home office.
i am confused as to what i should be doing?

Sorry to hear about your case.

It appears that taking IELTS test is safer option, than trying to prove one's Bachelor degree was taught in English and comparable to UK Bachelor degree.

Did you apply in country(UK)?

This is really shocking and strange to hear from you.
I am not sure why is the MBBS grad. ranked at below IELTS 6.0

Probably if your NARIC evaluation was considered as comparable to British Bachelor (Honours), then it could have worked for you. I just checked out the the Guidance notes, as well as HSMP Application form, but it is not mentioned any where that the degree should be comparable to Brtish Bachelor (Hons.)

If you score in other sections, I suggect you take the IELST, and then submit a fresh application. I dont know what is your chance, of making an appeal against this decision.

the website says Honours, whilst Guidance notes do not.

I queried this with Work Permits - they forwarded the query to a HSMP person who replied to me that for the English requirement - any Bachelors degree of 3 years in length is fine.

I wondered, I read somewhere that the Bachelor degree should be with Honours, but when I checked the Appl. form and guidance notes, it was not mentioned in particular.

I would say this is a miss on part of HSMP team for not including this point in guidance notes.

I dont know this mail reference would work for the appeal in this case.

I think this is the second rejection case based on language requirement (based on the posts in this forum)

Evidence required for IELTS Test: IELTS Test report form, which must be less than 2 years old at the time of application.

Evidence required for a Degree taught in English: Degree certificate, with Honours, and letter from institution confirming degree was taught in English."

But as i said, Guidance Notes are not specific and HSMP people confirmed Ordinary degree should be fine. Ive posted the content of the email i received from HSMP in another thread...youll have to search on that or get me to email it to you tomorrow from my work email.

The NARIC letter confirms that it is comparable to the British Bachelor (Hons)

Does this work, as my Original Degee (Bachelor of Engineeing) does not specify it with Hons but NARIC letter does?

Where did you get this information from ?.
AS far as I know Bachelor degree is tahught in english and it does not need to be honours
