New entrant Tier 2 general (first visa)

Hi

I have about 5 years of experience in IT, and I am 28 years old, working in India. I have recently been selected for a role (New entrant) in the UK and they are ready to sponsor me Tier 2 general and the pay is of New entrant level. So my question is since this is my first job in the UK, can I be considered as "New Entrant" by Home office?

Kindly help me.

If older than 26 years, IMHO it has to be experienced worker salary
