Rakesh,

Did you check your eligibility on the points calculator on BIA website?

Also i dont think u will be able to claim points for MBA without your original Degree. I think you need to get some more documentation from your uni for this (if you are awaiting degree) but its clearly on the guidance notes.

Regards

new HSMP application

Post by RAKESHHGUPTA » Wed Feb 25, 2009 3:25 pm

HI,

Thanx for the revert.

I have checked, it says I am eligible.
I have got my B.Com university degree, mark sheet but bo degree for the MBA ( marksheets are available), I am also making good points for my last 12-15 months earnings (£45,000) & have got settlement funds too.
I dont have the university letter stating the medium of instructions.
As per one of the HSMP consultant, my case is very strong due to my job and earnings.

Requeest for the views from other memebers of the site.

thnx

Hi Rakesh,

If points calculator states that you are eligible, then you should start collecting the right documents.

As of english, if your bachelors is considered on the calculator, you should not worry on the masters degree..(atleast under existing rules) i would read the guidelines to conform the same.

All the best.

Hi Rakesh,
I know individuals who have been refused Tier (1) for lack of proper documentation even though the HO letter said, they made the required 75 points. One such case was the individual provided a letter from the college, but not from the uni.

My suggestion is, provide as many documents as you possibly can. And you say, you dont have the letter from the uni. I would suggest you better get one from your uni as well as your college.

Wish you all the best.

And apply ASAP before the new rules come into play on the 1st Apr 2009 (allegedly).

Hi Anand,

What do you mean "HO letter said, they made the required 75 points", I never came across this HO letter anywhere in the Tier1 Application form?

Rakesh, I think you need to have English Language document either a letter from the University or a English language test result.

Acknowledgement Query

Post by amya2154 » Thu Feb 26, 2009 11:24 am

Hi,

I have just posted my Tier 1 General visa application on Monday 23rd February in Sydney. After going through the stress of getting the application together I am now so anxious about it getting there ok!

Can anyone tell me how the acknowledgement process works? I sent it express post, so it should have arrived on the Tuesday and I made my payment last Friday on 20th February, but I havn't heard anything yet. Should I have heard from them by now?

And do they send it as an email?

Thanks,
Amy

Hi Amya,

Usually for the incountry applicants, they send the acknowlegment letter by post once the payment is processed. Not sure if you are in Sydney.. but you can always ask them on the reference number by email or calling them. The email address should be on the guidance notes.

Hi Amit,
Its the letter you receive from HO stating whether your application has been approved or rejected. This is returned along with all the documents and of your application is successful, the passport is stamped. Else, they need to provide a reason for the rejection.
