New Proposed Immigration Laws

Hi,
I came on HSMP visa in July 05 and the extension is due in June 06.
Can the moderators please advice what will be the implications of these proposed new immigartion proporsals / laws for me.
When will these proporsals be implemented or are they already in force?
Please Advice.

There are already lots of topics on this sort of thing. If I see any more I shall close them!

Proposals come into force in 2007 so impact of your renewal in 2006 is clearly nil. Impact later on ... getting ILR ... we shall have to wait and see.
