New rules for returning BRP?

Post by waqasali » Fri Jul 12, 2024 8:43 pm

Hello I recently got ILR approved as spouse of British citizen and my approval has following section
If you already hold a BRP from a previous grant of permission, or you were issued with a replacement, it is no longer valid. You should dispose of it securely once you have created your UKVI account.
Does this mean i don't need to send my old bro back right, to home office?

Thanks

This appears to be new wordings. It is self explanatory.

Moreover, "should" is not "must". Keep it as a souvenir, especially in case of future Windrush-like scandals.

A new rule suggests changes to the immigration rules but these procedures often have nothing to do with rules
